Early Morning Judgments « Thread Started on Sept 21, 2009, 8:41am »
The smell of rain, and freshly cut grass filled the air. The sky was rosy pink and hazy in the distance. It was only about 5:30 A.M. and not another soul was in site. It was just how he liked it. He enjoy the alone time he got early in the mornings, he liked seeing the animals stir, and hear the birds start chirping. Silas tucked his hands into his shallow pockets, and continued to shuffle his still tired feet towards the lake he was told about earlier that day. Normally he would prefer the woods, the forest was perfect, but he did not want to be any trouble in his first few days in a new place, he need to get to know the Headmistress and the Professors before he completely ignored them and caused them trouble he thought sarcastically, slightly smiling to himself as he did.
Stepping up to she shore line of the lake, he took a deep breath, and coughed, like he had seen many people do after they took too long of a drag off a cigarette, or like his brother did after he smoked pot. He had never had allergies before, but he could already start to feel the back of his throat itch, and his sinuses start to swell, bringing a slight headache, right between his eyes. His road to come to providence was a long one, he was happy to be here he decided. He was going to try and get the most out of it. He knew he would stick out like a sore thumb, because he had never lived with his kind before. He was not looking forward to that, but he would deal with what he had to . The first thing he was to see to though was the schools Quidditch team. He was finally able to fly a broom and not be judged, and he was going to make the most of it.
I need to find who I am, where I come from and where I belong.

Layla was sitting under the big Oak Tree by the shore of the lake, she was reading and up early only because she could not sleep which was normal for her. Sleep was never her friend because she was always plaugued with nightmares and now they were all the same thing but changing at the same time. So she decided to just come out here this morning and watch the sunrise.
She was alone for a while until a guy walked past her to the edge of the lake with his broom. She watched him curiously, people on brooms never really interested her but she always wanted to fly, it'd be great to fly to feel the wind on your face and just enjoy it. She kept her book open just in case he noticed her watching and she would easily just hide behind it most people did not notice her, muggle or witch and wizard so it wouldnt surprise her but she did watch him curiously maybe she would be able to pick up a few tips so that if she wanted to fly... she could.
