Jacob made his way through the trail walking or jogging along. He was on the final leg of his morning work out. He ran the trail everyday so he was use to the cold sweat running down his face as it was now. He continued to jog as he lifted the white towel that drooped from his neck, and wiped the beads of liquid off of his brow. He looked on ahead down the trail seeing the ending. He slowed down to a walking speed wanting to enjoy the remainder of the trail. He looked at the plants he had seen every morning. They were still as beautiful as they were any other day.
At one of the plants he stopped and looked at it curiously. He didn't remember the pink, white rimmed flowers that the plant was producing. Had he missed them before or had it been added since the last time he had been there? He did not know the answer to his own question. He decided to not worry too much about it. He decided to finish his walk. As he walked out of the ending a bright flash came from the sky as the sun re-appeared within his vision. He looked up toward it but not directly at it.
He went to step forward when he looked back to his usual eye level. Suddenly his vision was met by a figure that resembled another human. It was very close to him. He stumbled to keep from running into the person. He stumbled past them but immediately turned back to apologize. "I am SO sorry. I did not see you there at all. I am so sorry, I really didn't see you."
Though he was a larger and stronger man then most he was very apologetic when he knew it was his fault. He looked toward the person but his eyes were still adjusting to the drastic change in lighting. All he could make out was the silhouette of the person.

Shira was talking a stroll out on the hiking trail. It was early in the morning and the sun was breaking through the trees and landscapes the best that it could. Shira sometimes would take walks around the grounds wherever she was at, but not all the time. Usually she was busy in the morning, but it seems that she did not have much to, so a walk had suited her. Shira was wearing clothes that a normal teenager would wear. She did not care that she was twice the ages of those that go to Providence Academy and wears the clothes. She always looked at it that if she looked good in them, then wear it. There will be a time that she would not look good and would look horrible in them. Her outfit consisted of blue short jeans, a red jacket-shirt and black converse. She also had sunglasses that were on her head. She did not know why she brought them for it was not that sunny out, but just in case. While walking down the trail, she thought she saw someone coming the other way, so she moved to the side. She could not see who it was for the person was a little while away. She just could see the figure moving quickly towards her. She shrugged knowing that she moved away and she looked out over the landscape. Everything was so beautiful out here that she definitely would skip Durmstrang anytime. Shira stopped in her tracks and looked out into the open field of nature until she looked away, straight towards the trail and saw the guy. Instead of moving around, he was running right towards her and be fore Shira could do anything, Shira was crashed into. "OW!" Her voice first reacted, and she skidded to the ground. "What the hell?! Watch where you are going!" Shira got up and looked at the person who ran into her. He started to apologize over and over to her. When she saw who he was through the dust from the kicked up dirt she sighed. It was the Deputy Headmaster of the school. Great! The first person I meet and I'm rude to them... seems like me though. "Did you not see me at all?" she asked, befuddled on why he would bump into her on a somewhat large trail.

His eyes finally adjusted to the light letting him see a woman on the path with him. He had known before seeing though that the person had been female for her voice had fell on his ears, letting him know she was a angry at him. He lifted his hand to his neck, grabbing the white towel and wiping sweat off of his face. He looked at the woman with a look of sorrow.
"I'm very sorry. I really am....Ms. Yocheved is that you?" Jacob thought he recognized the woman to be one of the Professors from the school. He wasn't sure but he thought he had been right. It wasn't too big of a matter whether she was or not. It had been his fault and she had a right to explode on him.
He had no room to yell back at her because he had run into her on such a wide trail. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you. My eyes were adjusting to the light and I hadn't seen you. I am very sorry."

Shira got up and looked at the man. She could not see him as well for her head started to create a quick blur from the sudden tumble. His voice was very familiar though and she looked down to remember who it was. She then closed her eyes to set her eyes straight and to tighten her struggled brain that felt it was moving left to right, or in circles. When she felt that it was okay to open her eyes, she did so and looked right at the man. It was the Deputy Headmaster Jacob Aston.
Shira cleared her throat and looked away. "I'm alright. Don't be sorry." She could not believe that she literally yelled at her own boss. It felt like an awkward moment for him to say that he was sorry over and over again and her once angry, now is sorry herself.
She looked down at her knee after feeling a sore and saw that her skin had been scratched a little. It was not too bad, just a sting. It was like a paper cut in a sense: the cut is so small, that it feels almost like a knife cut. She looked back up at him and gave a small smile. "Don't worry about that or anything." Shira was technically a rude person, so she did not want to say that she was sorry for being rude. "Anyways, before you decided to bump into me, what brings you out here? A workout?" she said, looking at how sweaty he was.

Yes, a workout. That and a good morning run always helps wake me up when I need it. This morning I just happened to need it. Also keeps my legs strong, which is good when you have a large amount of high schoolers that think they can out run you anytime they want. Though rare I have had to chase a few students down."
Stopping himself before he kept going, Jacob realized he had been rambling. How embarrassing. He hated rambling due to his high position people would listen politely as to not offend him when they actually wished to kill him on the spot. He had learned to control himself before rambling in front of many people. It was a also a bad habit to get into when talking with people of higher offices for they had the right to blatantly tell you to shut up.
He noticed she had a scratch. Without thinking he asked, "Are you going to be OK with that scratch?" He wished he hadn't said that as soon as it came out of his mouth. A strong independent self supporting woman not able to handle a scratch. How stupid of him. He quickly back peddled hoping to speak first to explain himself. "I didn't mean that you can't handle a scratch. I was just wondering if it was worse than it looks is all. I'm sure you can take care of yourself. You seem very strong and self driven, it's just my worried side showing again."
He wasn't sure what else to say, so before he said something else stupid, he stopped to see what she had in response.

Shira couldn't help but to give a slight laugh. Usually she would definitely say what she felt about it when people were going for the kill of talking a lot, but she couldn't help but to laugh. "Care to take a walk, Headmaster?" she asked, beginning to walk without him answering. She knew that he would definitely want to walk with her. She looked back at him and gave him a smile. He seemed to be talking a lot more now and she laughed a little again. She couldn't understand why she was laughing. It was not to make fun of him, but merely to just enjoy the day.
"I'll be okay with this scratch. I've had worse," she said, and she began to look at him, her eyes catching his and quickly, she looked away. She couldn't have feelings for her boss... that would just be ridiculous... wouldn't it? "Starting my class this week for Summer School. Hopefully you can stop by and see the creatures," she said, giving a smile.
While walking, she felt something squishy underneath her shoe and she brought it up. It was animal scat. "Great! Just what I need...," she sighed and she held up a finger at Jacob to gesture 'one second'. She went over to the grass and wiped the bottom of her shoe against it. When most of it was off, she walked back, but around the pile. "Sorry if you smell the nasty stink. Just look on the bright side though. The hiking trail definitely means nature," she said as a joke, but a little sarcastically.

Hearing her request, Jacob accepted instantly. I'd love a walk. Even though I just had one it sounds much more pleasant now that I have some company with me." He smiled at her and joined her, walking on her left. He heard her say it was just a scratch and he smiled to himself, knowing he had been stupid to ask.
Walking next to her she started talking about her summer classes. He was glad to hear that she was doing them. Another chance to teach the students instead of letting their mind go to waste for a whole three months. "I'd be happy to come visit your class and see how it goes. I'm always happy to help also if you need an assistant. I may be Deputy Headmaster but first priority is the students, no matter what."
Right as he finished she complained about something. He looked over and realized she had stepped in animal droppings. He couldn't help but laugh for a moment. She apologized and he replied saying, "That's quite alright. It's no matter." Again he couldn't help but to chuckle a bit while he said it. Everyone did it once in awhile. It wouldn't end the world and it surely wouldn't kill anyone so he had no reason to make a big deal over it. "Back to our walk then?"

Shira smiled back at him and nodded. She was glad to go back to the walk and forget about the stink on the bottom of her shoe. "Thank you, I'd appreciate that. What are your favorite creatures?" she asked, wanting to get to know him more. She was never this easy towards another but it seemed that maybe this man had a spell over her than the other way around. She looked at him again and gave a smile. She could work her magic, but what fun would that be? She wanted the person to like her for who she was, not what creature she was and how easy it was to get anyone she wanted.
"I was about to work at Durmstrang... I am quite glad I chose Providence instead. This place is so relaxing and filled with wonder," she said, looking out over yonder where there were mountains of trees. The landscape continued until there was a certain horizon that stopped and left the imagination to wonder. "You must be very lucky to assist in a school like this."

Contemplating the question, Jacob realized the answer was only too obvious to him. "I like them all to tell you the honest truth. I have no favorites, just in the same way with my students." Looking at her face again he tried to remember things he had read in her file. Gender, obvious. Class, again obvious. There was something he couldn't seem to remember. It struck him like a semi truck finally. She was a Veela. His mind fluttered a bit, checking himself, making sure he wasn't falling over her because of it.
He found his mind and body were quite in a check. A good thing to be around a female with so much control. She could have him doing back flips for a hug if she really wanted to. He had to be sure to watch himself. He doubted she would but, just in case was always a thought. "Yes, I love Providence very much. And I'm sure everyone here is glad you chose our school over Durmstrang. We value our wonderful teachers to the highest degree."
