Looking around, Poseia couldn't help but breathe in the beautiful smell of the nearby snow capped mountains. This was as close to her natural territory as she'd been in awhile, and it felt wonderful. "Wow it's more beautiful here than I imagined." She said over the whistling mountain air into a cell phone receiver. "Yes Mother. I know you told me so... Yes Mother. I know it would have been nice to have a companion with me... Yes Mother. I know I'm a philandering, smart-aleck kitten of the night with no decency, no morals, and no appeal to a nice older Pureblood werecat male who could be my mate for the next five hundred years."
She paused momentarily. "Yes Mother. I realize that's not what you actually said, but I know and you know that's what you meant." A soft smile pulled across Poseia's features as she imagined the strained expression her mother would be wearing right now.
Deciding to give her poor mother's aching heart a rest for the day, Poseia ended the conversation. "Well Mother, I have to go. I'm here now...Yes ma'am I promise to visit home while I'm stateside...Yes ma'am I promise I'm taking care of myself in Europe...Getting into trouble? Me? Oh come on Mom you know better...Ok, I guess you knowing me is why you asked...Alright...I love you too...Give them my love...Goodbye." Hanging up her phone, whiched conveniently matched her outfit today, Poseia wrapped her arms around herself and opened the door of the building.
I'm really not dressed properly for this. She mused. I completely forgot I was coming to the mountains. I always go the South when I come back to the U.S., and jeans are always appropriate there. No wonder everyone has looked at me crazy. At least I don't get cold as quickly as humans do, but it doesn't mean this mountain weather isn't frigid even with werecat blood. Upon entering the sanctem of a warm store, Poseia saw no one working and called out towards the back rooms. "Hello! Anyone here? I'm looking for Cecil . I was told I could find him here!"
